What are you doing Monday? 11/11? We’re going Pack the Sack! (a quaint bar in South Slope). enjoy libations and good company. I’ll be accompanied by the Honeys on some familiar and novel tunes. Friends playing music; it’s a good feeling. We’re also playing Tuesday, 11/26 at @petescandystore in Williamsburg with The Mondays and Christopher Wolf. San Diego bound for my bi-annual return!✨ I’ve been enraptured by the present and the offerings new york city shares. I’m surrounded by close contact inspiration, playful anonymity and increasing validation of my work. We’re coming up at a year since my Encinitas library showcase where the genesis of ‘Treasures’ really matured . That evening so many familiar faces came out. If you’re in the area next Sunday October 20th from 4-6pm - considering joining for a couple hours of music in a beautiful outdoor venue. I’ll be bringing up some special guests 🎶

a year ago the trajectory of my ny life was shaped by meeting my second cousin. we’re born just 5 months apart, live a few subway stops away, and are inextricably linked by a pair of russian immigrant, artistic, politically active , community building great-grandparents. One Thursday about a year ago, Zury invited me to follow him to one of his spots, the music inn open mic. A year later, I’ve been constantly inspired, played more gigs, wrote more songs, made more friends, hosted, jammed, danced, celebrated, loved, chugged, hugged. All due to the chain of events that grew from seeking out my extended family. 13 moons cycles past, rosh hashana 5785 reminds me to reflect on much has happened this past year. You never know where a choice takes you. And feeling v grateful for you @zury.lowell - like the brother i never had :’) I’m fitting in a lot of ideas into this post, but I hope you can get a feel of this special place by scrolling through these photos and videos from the past year. hello to all the music inn ppl!
